How to connect capacitors for single-phase motors?

Single-phase motors have three taps. First, measure the resistance between the three terminals with a multimeter. The two terminals with the larger resistance are connected in parallel with the capacitor, and the other terminal (common) is connected to one end of the power supply. Then use the multimeter's barrier to measure the resistance between the common and the terminals across the capacitor. The terminal with the larger resistance is connected to the other end of the power supply, and the connection is forwarded at one time. If you want to change the direction, you can change the power cable from one end of the capacitor to the other end.

The main and auxiliary windings of the three outgoing single-phase motors are easy to judge:

1. First measure the resistance values of the three lines in pairs, and remember the two lines with larger values and their resistance values. The third line is the connection point of the main and auxiliary;

2. Measure the resistance values of the contacts and both ends respectively (the sum of the two resistance values needs to be equal to the above larger value). Among them, the smaller resistance is the main winding, and the larger resistance is the auxiliary winding.

Generally, for AC motors started by single-phase capacitors, the winding joints connected in series with the capacitors are auxiliary windings.

If the secondary winding resistance is R1 and the primary winding resistance is R2, then it is R1R2. (The main winding has high power and low resistance).

Use a multimeter to measure and compare the resistance between the two terminals at one time, first find the secondary winding connector terminal connected with a capacitor for the live wire: the resistance value between the terminal and the other two terminals is relatively large (R1 and R2 are connected in series), and the second largest value is R1. Of the remaining two terminals, the terminal with the smaller resistance R2 and the second smaller resistance R1 is the terminal connected to the neutral, ie the common terminal of the primary and secondary windings.

If there is no problem with the single-phase motor, you can use a multimeter (if it is an analog multimeter, turn to R*1, short-circuit the probe, and adjust the "ohm zero" button of the multimeter to make the pin 0 ohm; if it is a digital multimeter, adjust the meter to Measure these three wires to 200 (R gear), one of which is connected to the other two wires, and the resistance value is larger when connected, the smaller the resistance value. This wire should be connected to the neutral line on the road; after measurement, the resistance is relatively small The wire of the capacitor should be connected to the live wire (connector drawn through the switch). The wire with relatively high resistance should be connected to one end of the capacitor, and the other end of the capacitor should be connected to the live wire (that is, combined with the wire of relatively small resistance and then connected to the Live wire); because the wire with higher resistance and the wire connected to the neutral wire are the starting coil of the motor, while the wire with lower resistance and the wire connected to the neutral wire are the running coil of the single-phase motor.
