Since single-phase asynchronous motors only need single-phase power supply, they are widely used in small equipment such as production and life. However, due to its poor economic performance indicators, it is only made of low power.

There are several types of low-horsepower single-phase asynchronous motors produced in my country.

1.BO2 series single-phase resistance start asynchronous motor. The power is between 60~370W. The characteristic is that without adding any split-phase element, it starts by using the resistance of the secondary winding itself, and uses a centrifugal switch to cut off the secondary winding at the end of the start. The structure is simpler. It has medium starting torque and overload capacity, so it is suitable for small machine tools, blowers, medical machinery.

2.CO2 series single-phase capacitor start asynchronous motor. The power is between 120~750W. It is a single-phase motor that starts by increasing the starting torque by adding a capacitor. A capacitor is connected in series with the secondary winding, and the secondary winding and the capacitor are cut off from the power supply together with a centrifugal switch at the end of starting. Like the BO2 type, it becomes a state where only the primary winding runs and the secondary winding is idle. Capacitor starter motors have high starting torque but moderate overload capacity. Suitable for air compressors, refrigerators, washing machines, pulverizers, threshers, water pumps.

3.DO2 single-phase capacitor motor. It is a single-phase motor that uses a capacitor to participate in starting and running, and the auxiliary winding participates in the operation together with the capacitor and the main winding. Therefore, no centrifugal switch is required. After proper design, the ideal rotating magnetic field is formed when the motor is running, so the motor has good running performance, high efficiency and power factor, and low noise. Its power range is 4~250W. Since a capacitor is used to take into account both starting and running, the trade-off is that the starting time is very short. When choosing the capacitance value, try to meet the needs of long-term operation, and choose a cheap small-value capacitor, so this kind of The starting torque of the motor is low, and it can only be used in machinery that starts with no load or light load, such as electric fans, ventilation fans, tape recorders, etc.

4. Dual-value capacitor motor This motor currently has no official model in our country, but it is also being produced. The maximum motor power is 750W, or about 1kW. There are more powerful ones in foreign countries. Due to the higher power, the required capacitors are much more expensive. This kind of motor has good starting performance and running performance. It is used for household appliances and small machine tools.
